미국의 굶주림과 푸드뱅크

미국인 수백만 명이 불완전한 임금, 생활비 상승으로 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 매일 기아와 식량 불안에 직면해 있는 어린이와 가정이 수백만 명이라고 합니다. 미국 농무부의 2019년 가정식량불안보고서(USDA's 2019 Household Food Insecurity in the United States)에 따르면 미국인의 3,700만 명 이상이 굶주림으로 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 더구나 코로나19로 말미암아 더욱 굶주림의 공포가 커진 상황 속에서 피팅아메리카(Feeding America)를 비롯한 푸드뱅크네트워크 활동가들을 멀리서나마 응원합니다.

Hunger in America and Food Bank

Millions of Americans are struggling with incomplete wages and rising cost of living, and millions of children and families face daily hunger and food insecurity. According to the USDA's 2019 Household Food Insecurity in the United States, more than 37 million Americans are struggling with hunger. Moreover, with the increased fear of hunger due to Covid-19, I support Food Bank network activists including 'Feeding America' from a distance.
