眞水無香 眞光不輝(진수무향 진광불휘)

어제 술자리에서 선생님께 '진수무향' 이야기를 들었습니다. 사람의 미덕은 무엇보다도 겸양이 미덕이고, 화합이 요체라는 말씀. 진수무향에 쌍을 이루는 말로 '진광불휘'라는 말도 있다 합니다. 참된 빛은 반짝이지 않는다(드러내지 않는다)라는 뜻, '진광불휘'는 <종용록(從容錄)>에 나오는 글귀라 합니다.
