유럽은 읽는다(EURead)-1

유럽은 읽는다(이유리드, EURead)는 2000년에 설립된, 유럽의 독서진흥단체의 컨소시엄입니다. 현재 벨기에, 영국, 체코, 독일, 이탈리아, 네덜란드, 노르웨이, 핀란드, 스위스, 오스트리아, 폴란드, 덴마크, 포르투갈, 스페인, 터키 등의 대표적인 독서진흥단체가 회원으로 가입하고 있습니다. 독일독서재단(Stiftung Lesen)의 마스(Joerg F. Maas) 박사가 의장이며, 영국 북트러스트(Book Trust)의 제랄드(Diana Gerald) 씨와 네덜란드 독서재단(Stichting Lezen)의 달런(Gerlien van Dalen) 씨가 공동의장입니다.

“유럽을 다시 읽게 하라–캠페인과 프로그램Get Europe reading again – Campaigns and Programs”이라는 모토 아래, 9월 23일(월요일)부터 25일(수요일)까지 제5차 연차총회를 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 개최합니다.

저와 책읽는사회문화재단의 간사 몇 분이 이 총회에 참여하여 유럽에서 펼쳐지고 있는, 리터러시 증진과 독서진흥을 위한 활동 경험과 사례를 배우고자 하며, 국제 교류의 폭을 넓혀 보려고 합니다. 다음 주, 한 주 동안, 브뤼셀에 있을 예정입니다.

EURead -1

EURead is a consortium of European reading organizations, founded in 2000. At present, the members of representative reading promotion organizations such as Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Spain and Turkey are members. Dr. Joerg F. Maas of the German Reading Foundation is chaired by Diana Gerald of the Book Trust in the UK and Gerlien van Dalen of the Dutch Reading Foundation. Co-chair.

Under the motto “Get Europe reading again – Campaigns and Programs”, the Fifth Annual General Assembly will be held in Brussels, Belgium, from Monday, September 23 to 25.

I and a few of my staff from the Book Culture Foundation will participate in this General Assembly to learn about the experiences and examples of literacy and reading promotion in Europe and to expand international exchange. I will be in Brussels next week, for a week.
